Elementary Summer Reading 2025: Home

Welcome to Paideia elementary library's summer reading guide!

It is our hope that this guide will inspire students and families to find materials that spark reading joy. Paideia does not require students to read specific books over the summer--these are recommendations that include many of the best books new to our library over the past year. Use the links below to navigate to our suggested titles for students entering Half Day-6th grade in August 2025. The grade level divisions should be seen as suggestions, and not strict boundaries. Every child is different, and families know their children best. We encourage you to pre-read or read these books with your children to promote open discussion of what may be new or challenging topics for some children. If you have any questions about content or need more suggestions, please email us or visit our website, which includes a link to our library catalog and more.

Did you know you can visit our library this summer to read and borrow or return books?

This year, summer hours will be limited to the month of June due to library recarpeting and other improvements taking place in July. The Paideia Elementary library will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 am - 11:30 am for in-person visits starting June 10 through June 26 (closed June 19 for Juneteenth holiday). Can't make it to the library in person during those weeks? Email us and we can check books out to you and leave them for pickup in our outdoor pickup bin.

Thank you and happy reading!
